Funded JIFSAN-UMD. 2019-2025 (PI), and 2) Antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella spp isolated from foods of animal origin. Funded by CONAHCYT. 2021-2024 (co-PI).

Have published 18 papers in JCR journals since 2018, including Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Pecuarias, Veterinaria México OA, Scientific Reports, Journal of Microbiology, Plos One, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, Frontiers in Microbiology, Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, Microorganisms, mBio, Microbiology Spectrum.
